The California English Language Development Test (CELDT) Web site is an informational hub for CELDT District and Site Coordinators for all things related to the administration and implementation of the CELDT. Please check back often, as this Web site will be updated regularly to reflect current test administration activities.

Updates and Reminders

  • 2017–18 Superintendent’s Designation of CELDT District Coordinator Form. New districts must contact the CELDT Customer Support Center to obtain a Superintendent’s Designation of CELDT District Coordinator Authorization Request 2017–18 Edition (SDF) form. If your CELDT District Coordinator is changing, submit an Authorization Request by logging on to the secure District Portal and selecting the link to the form at the top of the page.   • RETEST Materials Order Window. All LEAs may place an order for RETEST Scoring and Reporting Services and/or 2016–17 Edition test materials through the Secure District Portal of the CELDT Web site. Allow 10 business days for order processing (purchase order). [Posted 08/11/17]
  • RETEST Pre-Identification (Pre-ID) Window. LEAs may submit RETEST Pre-ID data files (to be shipped with a test materials order) through November 6, 2017. [Posted 08/11/17]
  • 2017–18 Edition CELDT Scoring Training of Trainers (STOT) Workshops. Registration for STOT statewide workshops is now open. Dates and locations are posted on the Workshop Locations Web page. Registration priority for the 2017–18 STOT workshops is given to CELDT district trainers who have never attended a STOT workshop. To register for a STOT workshop, log on to the District Portal and select the Scoring Training of Trainers (STOT) Workshop link. [Posted 02/13/17]
  • 2017–18 Edition Local Scoring Tool (LST). The LST is now available. Use this calculation tool to prepare a Preliminary Local Student Score Report for students who take the CELDT as an Initial Assessment (IA). The LST is available via the Quick Links section on the CELDT Web Site. [Posted 07/01/17]
  • 2017–18 Edition Initial Ordering Window. Districts that did not submit an Initial Order for testing materials in the spring can do so at this time. To place an Initial Order, access the secure District Portal and select the Order Management link. [Posted 07/01/17]
  • 2017–18 Edition Additional Ordering Window. The Additional Ordering Window is now open. Districts may place one Additional Order through the secure District Portal each month. A $45 processing fee will be charged for each subsequent order in the month. Allow 5–7 business days forprocessing. Report overages and shortages for these shipments within two weeks of receipt.   • 2017–18 Edition Initial Assessment (IA) Request a Pickup Web site. The Request a Pickup Web site is available only during the last five working days of each month during the 2017–18 Edition. Refer to the Retrieval Schedule in the 2017–18 Edition District and Test Site Coordinator’s Manual for the specific dates the Request a Pickup Web site will be open each month. [Posted 08/08/17]
  • 2017–18 Edition Pre-Identification (Pre-ID) Window. Pre-ID labels are available year-round. Prices and fees for files submitted during this window and information about providing a new purchase order, and the printing schedule are available on the Pre-ID Services Web page. [Posted 08/08/17]
  • 2016–17 Edition Annual Assessment (AA) Window Summary Reports. The AA Window Summary Reports will be shipped to districts August through September 2017.Contact the CELDT Customer Support Center if your district has not received these reports by Friday, September 8, 2017. [Posted 08/08/17]
  • On-Your-Own Shipping. On-Your-Own Shipping (i.e., districts shipping scorable documents via their own carrier without using the online scorable Request a Pickup application) is not necessary unless the shipping deadline for the close of the Initial Assessment window is not met (June 2018 administration month).
