California English Language Development Test

The California English Language Development Test (CELDT) Web site is an informational hub for CELDT District and Site Coordinators for all things related to the administration and implementation of the CELDT. Please check back often, as this Web site will be updated regularly to reflect current test administration activities.

Updates and Reminders

• 2013–14 Superintendent’s Designation Form. The window to submit a 2013–14 Edition Superintendent’s Designation of CELDT District Coordinator form (SDF) is now open. Download the form for your district by logging on to the secure District Portal and selecting the link to the form at the top of the page. In order to receive the 2013–14 Edition Initial Order test materials shipment, submit this form no later than Monday, April 1, 2013. Passwords will be reset and sent on July 1, 2013 to the coordinator designated for the 2013–14 Edition.This form must be completed annually. [Posted 02/22/13]
• Item Alignment Meeting. We are currently seeking California educators with experience and expertise in English language development (ELD) to participate in a two-day CELDT Item Alignment meeting on June 11 and 12, 2013. At the meeting, educators will review current CELDT test items and evaluate the alignment of each item to the 2012 ELD Standards. Completed applications are due by April 26, 2013. • 2012–13 Superintendent’s Designation Form. To update the current 2012–13 Edition District Coordinator or their contact information, including the district’s shipping address used through June 30, 2013, submit a 2012–13 Edition Superintendent’s Designation of CELDT District Coordinator form. The form can only be obtained by contacting the CELDT Customer Support Center. [Posted 02/21/13]
• 2013–14 Edition Scoring Training of Trainers (STOT) Workshops. Registration for statewide workshops is now open. Dates and locations are posted on the Workshop Locations Web page. Only CELDT District Coordinators may register participants, up to the allocation for your district (available within the registration system), for the workshops through the STOT link within the secure District Portal. • 2012–13 Edition Post-Data Review Module (DRM) Reports. Districts may order Post-DRM Student Performance Level Reports that reflect changes made during the DRM Window. To order, download the Optional Services Order Form from the Optional Services Web page. [Posted 02/19/13]
• 2012–13 Edition Pre-Identification Extended Window. Pre-Identification (Pre-ID) labels are now available year-round. Prices and fees for files submitted during this window and information about providing a new purchase order and the printing schedule, are available on the Pre-ID Services Web page. [Posted 11/01/12]
• On-Your-Own Shipping. On-Your-Own Shipping (i.e., districts shipping scorable documents via their own carrier without using the online scorable Request a Pickup application) is not necessary unless the shipping deadlines for the close of the Annual Assessment or Initial Assessment windows are not met (October and June administration months).
  
  If the deadline for placing a Request for Pickup for October and/or June is missed, district coordinators may ship test materials using a traceable carrier at the district’s expense.
