California English Language Development Test
The California English Language Development Test (CELDT) Web site is an informational hub for CELDT District and Site Coordinators for all things related to the administration and implementation of the CELDT. Please check back often, as this Web site will be updated regularly to reflect current test administration activities.
Updates and Reminders
2014–15 Superintendent’s Designation Form.
To submit a 2014–15 Edition Superintendent’s Designation of CELDT District Coordinator form (SDF), log on to the secure District Portal and select the link to the form at the top of the page. New districts must contact the CELDT Customer Support Center to obtain an SDF.
2014–15 Edition Pre-Identification (Pre-ID) Regular Window.
The 2014–15 Edition Pre-ID Window is open through Friday, September 19, 2014. Review the Pre-ID Services Web page for information about purchasing labels, file submission requirements, and downloading the Pre-ID User Guide and Pre-ID Data File Layout.
2014–15 Edition Request a Pickup.
The first day to schedule a scorable pickup of 2014–15 Edition test materials is Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Access the secure District Portal and select the Request a Pickup link.
2014–15 Edition Local Scoring Tool (LST).
The LST is now available. Use this calculation tool to prepare a Preliminary Local Student Score Report for students who take the test as an Initial Assessment. The LST is available via the Quick Links section on the CELDT Web Site.
2014–15 Edition Additional Ordering Window.
The Additional Ordering Window is now open. Districts may place one Additional Order through the secure District Portal each month. A $45 processing fee will be charged for each subsequent order in the month. Allow 5–7 business days for processing. Report overages and shortages for these shipments within two weeks of receipt.
On-Your-Own Shipping (i.e., districts shipping scorable documents via their own carrier without using the online scorable Request a Pickup application) is not necessary unless the shipping deadlines for the close of the Annual Assessment or Initial Assessment windows are not met (October and June administrations).
If the deadline for placing a Request for Pickup for October and/or June is missed, district coordinators may ship test materials using a traceable carrier at the district’s expense. See the 2014–15 Edition District and Test Site Coordinator’s Manual 2014–15 Edition District and Test Site Coordinator’s Manual Retrieval Schedule for additional information.
